Three Little Pigs & The Big Bad Wolf @ Bangsar Village 1 , Bangsar

Hey there, I am back with another food post! Actually there are many more photos that I owe you guys, but I guess I am too busy to update.

This was yesterday! Headed to Three Little Pigs & The Big Bad Wolf in Bangsar Village 1 with the Sunway mates to celebrate Choon Mun's birthday (plus we surprised Justin with an early birthday cake!)

Three Little Pigs & The Big Bad Wolf opened in late November 2012 last year and since then it gained so much popularity on social media. Always wanted to try this place but I did not get the chance to do so because the photos of the food looks so good!

Three Little Pigs & The Big Bad Wolf is located on the ground floor and is accessible through Village Grocer or from the open air car park of Bangsar Village 1. For those of you who are familiar with Bangsar Village 1, Three Little Pigs & The Big Bad Wolf is located at the former D'lish area. Such a pity that D'lish by Delicious does not exist anymore though.

The indoor entrance of Three Little Pigs & The Big Bad Wolf.

As we were there at night, there were candles on each table and the lighting was pretty dim. Guess it is a place for couples to have quiet romantic dinner. Our gang was pretty huge though and we made quite loud noises. Hope that no one got annoyed by us.

Forgot to take photo of the wine area, and the other side of the restaurant. But the interior of the restaurant is pretty well done! I am sure it would be a nicer place to chill, gossip and take photos with your girlfriends during the day with all the sunlight.

Before I came, I already did my research and googled on the restaurant with the many food blogs around recently. Most of them fail to state that which menu the food was from. In case you didn't know, Three Little Pigs & The Big Bad Wolf operates in 1 restaurant, but has two personalities aka two different menus. From 9 am to 6 pm, the three little pigs come out to play, then they go home and the big bad wolf comes out to rule from 6 pm to 11pm.

So... The food we ordered is from the big bad wolf menu.

Recommended in the menu, we tried the Caesar Salad with Bread Crumbed Egg (RM24++) - romaine lettuce, crispy pork bacon, croutons and shaved parmesan cheese.

Loved the salad I shared with the girls! The salad was so full of flavour and the egg, well, when we cut the egg in half, the egg yolk and egg white ooze out of the bread crumb. It was still runny and it was simply delicious! However, for a price paid like that, the portion is pretty small, the bowl make the portion look big.

This is also another dish recommended in the menu. Mighty Piggy Burger (RM28++) - juicy pork patty, fried egg, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, herbed mayo, served with chips and house salad.

My friend said that the pork patty had very strong pork smell. Not everyone might like it I guess.

The Big Bad Burger (RM32++) - juicy pork patty, smoked pork bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, hickory smoked BBQ sauces served with chips and house salad.

The burger was huge and they are generous with the fries. Also shared this with my girls. However, I felt like there was nothing special with the burger in taste wise. The ones from any of the mushrooming burger joints that I have tried taste better than this. Still prefer MyBurgerLab or Burger Junkyard than to this..

Anyway, what everyone seems to like here is The Wolf's Favourite pasta (RM 29++) - creamy spaghetti with smoked pork bacon and button mushrooms, topped with poached egg and crispy bacon bits. However, heard from few of my friends, which is like 3 out of the 5 people I asked, they said that the pasta is not that nice and it is very overrated. Maybe because it looks so good in pictures and people just want to show off they have eaten that wtf. So it is up to you to have it or not but I didn't want to waste my money. :P

Three Little Pigs and The Big Bad Wolf also serve other food other than pork but of course being a pork serving restaurant and having that as their specialty, I think you should order their pork items when you are there! They have also have cakes and light bites for small eaters that just want a sweet fix or a light bite!

The service was OK. We sat down for quite long before they finally serve us water. We didn't had to wait long for our food though. Other than that, the staffs are pretty friendly and they even help us with the birthday cake.

Would I come back here again? Most probably once in a long long long while to try the other dishes available, because the prices are on the high side and there is nothing much to shout about here. Don't really get the hype, is it because of its catchy name?

Group photo before we left.
